I'm looking at a 2006 Volkswagen passat 2.0t auto with.....?

Im looking at a 2006 Volkswagen passat 2.0t auto that has 84000 miles on it. is this to many? how long do these cars usually go for? thanks in advance.
or a 2005 jetta 2.5 with 50000 miles on it. which one would you choose and why?
their both $10,000 if that helps.

The Jetta 2.5L is less maintenance intensive compared to the 2.0T motor. I have a Passat because I prefer the extra space and it feels higher quality.

With the 2.0T, have the dealer check the cam follower, high pressure fuel pump & camshaft for wear and replace as necessary prior to you considering the car
