Remember the Animorphs books? Well, the series that I'm looking for is for the same age group.
It was about the the end of the world and a few lucky people who were chosen to be saved by sending them to another planet. Some of these people were the white male protangonist, an Asian (I think) girl who had burn scars on one half of her face, and a pregnant woman who (I think) wasn't actually supposed to be on the space ship that was going to save them.
In the space ship, they were put to sleep (beacause it would take awhile to get anywhere) until they landed on a planet or something. Since they were sleeping for a long time, the pregnancy of the woman went horribly wrong (thus the reason she wasn't supposed to be on the ship). When they woke up, the baby was attached to her stomach (under her skin?) and had aged and developed. The baby was evil. I think.
Lol now that I think about it, the series was messed up.
