Im making a rizotto but dont want to use white wine!?

This will be my first time making it and i watched the food network show "How to Boil Water" and it looks simple enough to make. I just dont want to use white wine. Is there something i can substitute it with?? Just use chicken broth or something??? This is for my fiance who always orders it from Olive Garden every time we go there...lol...he wants me to try it so i will surprise him with that and a steak Friday night for his V-day gift...since were going out on Saturday night. Thanks in advance!!!
