Im sick of hearing that israel is the "victim" in the palestinian-israeli conflict.. just because palestine was never officialy recognized a country, that doesnt deny them from their right to defend themselves just as the jews do in retaliation to the so-called terrorist attacks. when someone storms into your home, strips you of your rights, youre not just goin to stand idly by but try to defend yourself and thats exactly whats happening in palestine. the original inhabitants of the land i.e. the arabs were forced out of their homes and driven out of their lands. so why are they portrayed as the oppressors in the situation? the basis on which israel was established is unfair. i cannot just go into thailand and demand a homeland there because my ancestors once lived there, and then proceed to kill millions of innocent people in a claim that i am defending myself. am i missing something here?
