I'm stuck on a question about christianity.?

okay so im talking about christianity and how it first begun, and who founded it. but i came accross the question: describe two basic teachings of the belief system.
now i know that there are a lot of teachings considering i study religion, i'd know. however if there is any specific teaching that were ideal back then, then id like to know. was there a dominant idea of a certain belief or something specific i need to mention. Than you guys so much :)
 
Jesus summarized His teachings with two commandments:

Luke 10:27




27 So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,and your neighbor as yourself.’”
