ugh, I'm wanting so bad to just go get on a horse and ride away, but would settle (very happily) for a simple brushing. But there are none around, lol

I've been going through the exact same thing you are at this point. It's so painful. They're more than just an animal; it's like they're my herd, my family where I feel nothing but this deep peace in their presence. What's more, they draw me closer to God; a miracle only He knows best. When I'm not with them, it's like some part of me has been taken away. More of I experience anxiety, the blues and sleeplessness. I sure hope more than anything that both of us will have our own horse someday! Like I said I know how you feel!
