Im trying to charge my Motorola Razor Phone on my computer..?

I'm trying to charge my Motorola Razor on my MacBook through a USB cord.I have done it before, but now my phone just turns on then turns off. Any advice?
 
this can be 1 of 2 problems.

1. the phones charging port dosent recognize the usb via calbe. this happens because of many reason, leaving it on too long, the USB is defected

2. the motherboard on the phone dosent make in contact with connector and cable. this can be because of the software issue.


couple ways to fix this if ur lucky is

1. turn the phone on completely and let the battery drain out.

2. make sure you are using an OEM charger, some aftermarket chargers tend to burn up battery life

3. try restarting the phone and your laptop.

4. take the battery out and let it stand for 45 seconds and put it in and try again
