I'm trying to install the sims 3 and my DVD-ROM stop workin!!!?

Please help me. I just bought the sims 3 yesterday and I'm trying to install to my laptop. Whenever I'm trying to extract the winrar file, the DVD-ROM will stop working at the half. But I try to let the DVD-ROM cool and it's work until I put the 2nd DVD it's started to stop working again. Do I have any other ways to install sims 3 in my laptop? Is it the DVD ROM or maybe it's not working in windows 7 ? Please reply.. Thank you guys.
 
try not to extract the file. install the game using set-up. and if you think it might be because of heating problem, then before inserting disk 2 take some time and let it cool down. it may not be causing it because of windows seven, but it might be your dvd rom. try simple step rather then trying to change the dvd rom.
