Okay so I'm a Christian and lately I've been questioning everything. It confuses me the fact that in the Kings James bible it says in God's eyes we're all the same, equal, we're all God's children. But I;m just wondering if that was the case, then why isn't it okay to be a homo if we're all God's children and so forth?

uhm... well the easiest way to understand that is homosexuality is considered by the bible to be a choice, not something you are born as. Thus, if you choose to lay with men as a man, or lay with women as a woman, you have chosen pleasure over godliness.

That's something that everyone questions. you cant help it if you like the same sex. everyone isn't the same. its like skin color and race. you cant change anything about it. it depends if the person is okay with being a homo. they want to find love like everyone else but most importantly they just want to be happy more than anything. they just want the feeling that they belong some where in the world. and everyone should just deal with that.

HAHAHA DID YOU SAY BIBLE!!!??? yeah, well that would explain a lot, not the whole bible is true, the bible wasn't written by god, it was written by humans which is why it makes no sense and why it says that god hates a certain type of people. that is why the whole bible isn't true, and why it is not a sin to be gay, that's why i'm hetero and have tons of gay friends and would take a bullet for them

Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."1
Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them"

-It is so common that these are taken out of context so well. People need to realize that the Old Testament is well over 2000 years old. Also, it is so easy to misinterpret. Leviticus all deals with Levitical Law and the Holiness Code. These such things also include that you shall not tattoo yourself or eat shellfish.
-If read into depth, this actually deals with how women were oppressed back in these times. Women were seen as second class citizens and if you you notice, it say's nothing like "If there is a WOMAN who lies with a WOMAN..." because they were seen as inferior people. So, When it says "You shall not lie with mankind as with womankind" it actually implies how you shall not lie with Mankind AS YOU WOULD LIE WITH A WOMAN because man was not to be treated as a woman or a second class person.

In short, during these times, when sleeping with a woman, the man was the dominant one. When two men sleep together-neither should be considered more dominant over the other. It was considered an abomination when a man considered himself the powerful one over another man.

Being Gay, Lesbian, or Bi is just fine, Just like it is being Straight.
God doesn't care that you're gay. God is a spirit that loves you and I.
The bible was made in a specific time, and a specific place.

Okay, Let me put it this way.
If I were to write a bible, with MY beliefs, and wrote about a few people that I knew, would you belief in everything I put down?
Or maybe Id get those few people to write about a few things and Id pick out what I agreed with, and put it in my book. The bible wasn't meant to be carried on. Everyone just bought the book and started to belief in everything it says.

There are those who like to say that the Bible does not condemn homosexuality. Various verses are cited (out of context) and the verses that people use to show that homosexuality is wrong are explained away. The world wants to change God's words and meanings into something more suitable to its sinful desires. Nevertheless, the truth stands: The Bible condemns homosexuality as a sin. Let's look at what it says.

•Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."1
•Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them"
•1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
•Rom. 1:26-28, "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper."
Homosexuality is clearly condemned by the Bible. It goes against the created order of God. He created Adam and then made a woman. This is what God has ordained and it is what is right. Unlike other sins, homosexuality has a severe judgment administered by God Himself. This judgment is simple: They are given over to their passions. That means that their hearts are allowed to be hardened by their sins (Romans 1:18ff). As a result, they can no longer see the error of what they are doing. Without an awareness of their sinfulness, there will be no repentance and trusting in Jesus. Without Jesus, they will have no forgiveness. Without forgiveness, there is no salvation.

Just because someone is a homosexual does not mean that we cannot love him (or her) or pray for him (her). Homosexuality is a sin and like any other sin, it needs to be dealt with in the only way possible. It needs to be laid at the cross, repented of, and never done again.

I agree with the above statements, thumbs down me all you want... Im just saying it from a Christian view.

To me, it was a question of what i truly felt was morally right and what has been altered as "God's Word". Well, God's word comes to me consciously, and it tells me being gay is okay, b/c there is nothing wrong or alterable about it.

Somehow in religion, other peoples beliefs get in the Bibile and the "rules" and what is right and wrong. People also interperate things in their favor. If your religion is not supportive find one that is or go for a non-organized relgion like Spiritial. It is more how you feel, which can take th good from Christian and Kings James and how God really is.

Remember, the Bibile is a book of stories various people wrote. They all wrote it how they interprited it, some or many might have let their own personal beleifs cloud it. Look out the left liberals and right conseratives mess up the history books....
