Okay i got my iMac back in July. It's got the i5 processor and 5gb of RAM. It works really fast and efficient. but when it comes down to transfering files, it takes forever to move/copy files from an external hard drive to its internal hard drive. for instance, I downloaded a 4gb file on my windows 7 laptop and copied it to an external hard drive and tried to copy the file to my iMac so I can have a local access to it since I use the iMac as a home network server. however, it took it literally 2 hrs to copy the entire file. I cant find a solution to such problem online.
