flirt with nerds? I mean I get that some middle school girls like to flirt with nerds so they can be like "Sucker! As if I'd ever date you!" that's just a regular part of high school bullying. But I mean like back in middle school, girls seemed to do it not even for that purpose, but just because they found it funny to flirt with nerds or something.

Like I always knew they were gonna be like "Sucker!" so I never went along with it, I just always let them know I didn't want them. But for months, even years, they'd go on like "Arlo I like you, I want us to be together!" and grab my butt or my friends' butts. One of them was even following me home from school when no one else was around like "I like you, what can I do to make you like me?"

And just to be clear, yes, I am absolutely certain that none of these girls were serious. Just from the tone of their voice, and the way they did it, and the crowd they hung out with, I've always known they didn't actually like me like that. But at the same time, it didn't seem like they were doing it to humiliate me either. It's like they just found it funny, for some reason. And obviously, girls don't do that stuff with guys they actually like. But I just don't get why they found it funny to do it with nerdy guys specifically?

Because nerdy guys are unthreatening, and messing with them gives the girls a little feeling of power. Teen and pre-teen girls can be real jerks, and find the stupidest things to laugh about.

they're testing out their new-found sexual power. or rather, WE WERE testing out etc etc. Sorry.

but also, there's something perversely appealing about a lot of nerds--not the ugly ones, but the ones who WOULD have been attractive if they hadn't been such NERDS. and you'll notice that grown-up nerds who aren't bad-looking are no longer considered nerds at all, they're just considered Hot Smart Guys, and girls try earnestly to impress them rather than teasing them like despicable sociopathic narcissistic junior-high brats.

some of them may actually have liked you but knew it wasn't socially acceptable to liiiiike nerds. hence the real one-on-one flirting and inevitable public rejection.

notice their immaturity rate - they honestly believe they are going to be married to a celeb or something ?
they don't have a grasp on reality
their young
& they think prank calling is fun
oh & pink is just the best !
It's nothing against you their just young girls

Here's an answer from a girl:

Thats fucked up. Anyone who does that is disgusting. They do it to make themselves feel better. Like "haha you thought you could actually be with me? ME? Im so hottttttttt"

Thats what that is. Stupid bit*ches with low self esteem and no time.
