Are those words such as, soothsayers and augur quite often used in daily conversation?
A "prophet" is someone tells words from gods....right?

Words for a person who tells what will happen in the future:
- Seer
- Psychic
- Clairvoyant
- Prophet - doesn't necessarily need to be from a god

Anyways, I have never heard soothsayer used to describe them, and the word augur doesn't really apply in my opinion. Out of the words I've listed above, "psychic" and "clairvoyant" are more likely to be used in daily conversation.

Soothsayer and Augur are are not commonly used. Prophet can be used but we seldom talk about prophets.

A fortune teller or psychic. A medium is someone who contacts the dead on your behalf.
