There's a specific Hebrew word for it; I forgot what it was.
Wiki disagrees.

A Jew.
Being Jewish isn't an ethnicity or race. Just a religion.

Edit: Here is an article. I don't have the energy to explain things: http://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/45132/jewish/What-Makes-a-Jew-Jewish.htm

Wikipedia also said for a very long time in a post and remove "battle" that Jews sniff the socks of our deceased family members at funerals when there was one of a series of nonsense or insulting items posted under Jewish topics a few years ago.

One cannot rely upon Wikipedia when it comes to information about Jewish issues, unfortunately..even though many Jewish people try to keep good information there, it often gets skewed and removed and replaced with utter nonsense. So..be careful and check the source information for the posting on Wikipedia.

Now to address the question. As you have asked your question and phrased it ..it isn't really logical..as ethnicity does not determine Jewish identity, period.

If you are asking what is the Hebrew word for someone who converted to join the Jewish people and was not a member/citizen by birth , that has been answered, a ger tzadik. I've not even bothered to go to the Wiki link because every time I do I get myself aggrivated and I stopped posting there years ago because it's a never ending thing to remove misinformation there about Jews.

I've seen posts on Wikipedia that rival Y/A for spamming of misinformation about Judaism. I've been told it has gotten better, but this sort of thing always ran in cycles anyway.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100808015802AA6D5T1 See the references at the bottom of this old answer of mine to learn more about Jewish identity and law from reputable Jewish references.

Jews have been multi-racial since the Exodus at least, multi-cultural and multi-ethnic since the FIRST Diaspora ( destruction of the First Temple) and much more so since the destruction of the Second..so it is extreme hogwash ( note the UNkosher term to apply to a notion equally unfit) to claim Jews are "an" ethnicity.
See the references I've mentioned to learn the history and law regarding Jewish identity and self-detemination as a people.

Ask any Rabbi, too.

Ger tzedek (righteous convert). But a ger tzedek is still 100% a Jew. Those not considering a ger tzedek a Jew are not being good Jews (and they know it).

Jew

Once someone converts to Judaism they are a Jew, just the same as someone born in the religion.

Wiki is an open site that has a lot more misinformation than good info

If you mean someone converting to Judaism it's Ger something
