Half a million years ago man worked less than 20 hours a week to fulfill his needs. Now we have dishwashers, farms, ranches, high rise buildings and lots of technology. Man's work week went to 40-50 hours a week to fulfill his needs. Technology has never made life easier, just changed the work we do. I doubt that is going to change anything in the future.

majority of people won't have to work? I think the human race will get to a point where we've conquered so many things that a HUGE majority of jobs will no longer have to exist due to the massive rise in technology. Do you think this? If so, what do you believe we'll end up doing as opposed to working?

We´ll keep on workin our asses of forever no matter how much technology we have as long we have capitalism. Because capitalism makes us work not to have technology, but to be better and cheaper than the next guy, all for the customers.

It seems to be headed that way, but I hope not.

It is possible that the governments of the world will have to create "make work" jobs in order to take care of "idle hands".
