enable scientist to bring back previously extinct animals assuming they can sequence the animals dna an put it into the embryo of a different animal or will this only ever be the stuff of science fiction
this is highly unlikely, but i won't say it's totally impossible. Even if we can get the complete genome sequence for an extinct animal, we still need the right factors to grow it. Genes need to be turned on at right timing and at right locations in the body to get proper growth, and we are still hundreds of years away from understanding those intricate timings.
