Interested in pursuing an internship centering nanotechnology topics.?

I'm a 2nd year ( 4th semester ) engineering student in Bangalore. And i plan on doing an internship after my semester gets over, and my prefer to work on the field of nanotechnology\nanosciences. I've currently studying a course on nanotechnology right now, It has just begun, and seems interesting and full of potential! So, if anyone can please just guide me here, like giving me some research topics a 2nd year B.Tech student can undertake, I will be very grateful.

My university offers vacation scholarships and research programs over the summer for interested students. You should see if your university offers anything similar. If so, see if you can get involved in anything related to nanotechnology.
