Hey, guys. I am interested in getting into sport bikes starting now :) I wanna start riding by spring. I did lots of research past 2 months, and Pretty much know all the controls about motorcycle, safety issues and whatnot.

I was looking into newer 600cc's mainly the cbr and the r6. (08, models). Is there a specific bike you would liketo recommend for me, Ill check those out. Just make sure its around 5-6 grand, i can go lil higher.

Also the safety gear, what is the BEST helmet out there, i dont want to die, im sorry and I want the inside to stay cool as well. Again specific brand and model's will be usefull.

for appeal I was thinking of a 2pc suit, with boots and gloves, Again I want a good brand, for the reasons stated above, Also the suit looks awesome :D Suggestions?

Also, is it fine if i use the bike to commute to school (35 miles) on a highway? I will be somewhat new, so i am worrying i wont be able to get on the highway.

Well if there is anything else i missed let me know. Also dont tell me to get a 250 starter bike, I am responsible person and wont go happy on the throttle :),

Just know that the Yamaha R6 and Honda CBR600RR are super-sport class sportbikes. If you're using it just for commuting I would recommend a sport-class or sport-tourer. The super-sport class bikes' ergonomics can be brutal if you're not up to par physically.

Dianese and Alpinestars are premium gear producers.

For Helmets- Arai, Shark, Suomy, Shoei, AGV
