interesting/debatable Controversial issues/topics?

I'm looking for a controversial issue I could do base my research plan on..
I need one that's unique/interesting..because most of the topics i wanted to write about are taken by my classmates..


I really wanted to talk about assisted suicide, but that's already taken
I'm thinking about doing a researchplan about how happymeals are marketing/taking advantage young children with toys..and how it's effecting their health



Please help me gather up topics to start my essay!
 
I don't know which topics your classmates have taken, but some common ones are creation vs. big bang, abortion, health care, cloning, FDA food labels and how much information they hide/reveal. Those might be taken though! Some off-the-beaten-path ones: Was 9/11 planned in part by the American government? Should Japanese-Americans have been quarantined to camps in the 1940s? Why was Stonehenge created and by whom? If I think of any others, I'll be sure to let you know! Good luck! :)
