I'm doing a research project and I'm looking to do it on a topic that's not too overdone, but has got enough substantial information available on it.

Any suggestions?

ps. Preferably European history but I'm not too fussy :)

Contributions of the Norsemen (Vikings)
European contributions to navigation
European inflation caused by discovery of Inca gold and vast amounts of silver taken from the New World
