Interesting text messaging topics?

Whenever my best friend and I text each other we always run out of things to talk about, so we stop replying. Our topics are always short and kinda boring. The one we had a few minutes ago was about how summer's going by too quickly, but it ended pretty short.

So any good topic ideas that will be interesting to text about (Not relating to school or sexual things please)?

Texting is a form of communication, a conversation. You speak or text when you have something to say. You stop when you have had your say. If you and your friend were in the same room would you just keep talking and not stop? You speak only when you need to. You actually sound like you have a little texting addiction. Good luck with it.
