Today I got Comcast, the webpage can't be displayed. Hp said it was because of my computer but they couldn't fix it because of the fact that my warranty expired so I though I would come to the next best thing. I have a Compaq Presario SR1720NX. Comcast said it was because of the fact that in the advanced TCP/IP settings I can't check both things under DNS server adresses and this also me not to be able to configure the WINS setting. PLEASE HELP. I use a cable and ethernet.I also have AVG.

I have comcast high speed internet myself. When I first got it it was doing the SAME exact thing to me! Idk but just make sure that your cable wire is connected to your modem.OR check your firewall settings on your computer. You could have a firewall that is blocking your computer from connecting to the internet.I have compaq too and it is a very good name Ive had my computer for about 4 years now And Ive never really had problems with it.Except virus. Also check your computer by using a virus scan because sometimes virus's can attack your computer from past websites that you have been on.ALSO when I first installed comcast internet I wasn't installing it right. So make sure you installed it right by putting the comcast high speed disk into your computer.
