Internet connection slower?

is my internet connection slow because of the inauguration of Obama? because on MLK day my internet was as fast a you can say like 324kbsp but then on the inauguration it got all of a sudden slow as hell like 23 kbsp plz tell me whats wrong with it!!
 
Probably because CNN was having all those pictures of the inauguration sent to them. Something like over 9,0000 plus in a very short time. Hee, Hee!
