internet doesn't show pictures?

internet explorer doesnt show pictures and has random pop ups. when i go to internet options and turn "show pictures" on it turns off everytime i close the explorer. does anyone know how to fix this problem as it is very annoying. it might have something to do with a virus or something with the registry edit because i think that got changed some how. anyhelp will be apreciated

make sure you hit apply after the changes and restart the browser.

If you dont have them download these free programs and run full scans.

Take a look at the last link to see if this fixes the problem 1st. I would suggest you use a more secure browser, such as opera or firefox as you can use pop up blockers.
