Internet Explorer slow to open?

I am operating windows 7, for the past couple of weeks Internet Explorer has been taking about 20 seconds to open. As you would know on quick launch it should be faster, my question is Can I system restore back a month or so to rectify this. Would all my updates still be there or re-update them, also I have problems now with google earth, I have re-downloaded google 5...but it will not open. It did open up to a week or so ago but now I cannot get anything,can someone help me...Andy....ps I am operating a packard bell D6020 all in one computer. I am trying to open on yahoo.
 
It started going slow for me too, try doing disk defragment. It speeded things up alot for me
