Internet keeps connecting and disconnecting, does anyone have an Acer laptop

who can help me? well i have an acer laptop, we just got verizon FiOS or wutever and the "Acer eNet Management" thing keeps sayin at the bottom "internet connected" then a few seconds later "internet disconnected. My father says it has nothing to do wit the connection, its the laptop itself. Any suggestions on how i can fix this?
