Hello!
My boyfriend and I are considering adopting a kitten together to add to our cat family. Currently, we have two cats (berkly and kai) who are aged 5 and 4. I introduced Berkly (4) to Kai (5) when Berkly was 6 weeks old. Kai acted as a mother to her, letting Berkly suckle on her.
Because my cats are so close, I'm concerned that they'll have problems adjusting to a newcomer. At the end of this month/start of June we are moving to anew house, so I was trying to figure out if it would be smart to adopt the kitten before we move. If I could put the kitten in the new house and let him/her have their own room for a while before I even bring my cats over, would that be a good idea? That way they get used to the kitten's smell associated with the new house? I'm not sure if this is a good idea, so before we get a kitten I'm trying to find advice. Do you guys have any suggestions for me? Thank you.
Also, I'm worried about adding another cat changing one of my cat's personality. She's so sweet and loving, I don't want to ruin that by making her angry.
