Introducing a once outside/now inside cat back outside?

We got our cat in July and she was 2.5 months old or so. She was born outside and loved playing and exploring. She is now ~7-8months old. We've kept her inside (for the most part) since we got her.

We've taken her outside in the backyard a few times during the summer while keeping our eyes on her, but she wasn't spayed yet and didn't have a collar. That's taken care of now, and I would like to know the best way to reintroduce her to the outside. We're in Oregon, so right now it's a little bit on the colder side...

Also, we have another cat that's about 3 years old and he spends his days outside and we keep him in during the night.

Any help is appreciated!

Cats shouldn't be let outside unsupervised anyway-would you let your infant? When I go outside, I attach a long dog leash to my cat's walking jacket and sit, relax, and enjoy nature while she explores.

take her outside, sit down out there and put her in your lap and pat her and talk to her soothingly. hold on to her if she tries to run. do it two, three times till she starts showing more confidence, and then put her on the ground and stay around.
just be careful. there are danger out there. could be best to put a cats proof fence around your yard.

My cats go outside....but only with me, and never alone.
Especially since they have been inside cats....but that may just be me :)

Learn to read your cat, see what it tells you, what you can learn from it. Some cats love it outside.
My male would love to be outside, but we live near a busy road...so no way.
It just depends on the cat
