Introduction paragraph...?

I'm doing an essay for history about the Industrial Revolution , but I can't finish my introduction (hook). What I have so far is :

Machinery are a lot more efficient because it's faster than goods being hand made. Here, I will explain the use of machines during the Industrial Revolution. I will talk about the positive and negative effects that the Industrial Revolution had.

I still need 2-3 more sentence to make it a full paragraph!

I will explain the use of machines during that time period. I will state the positive and negative effects that the Industrial Revolution had not only on the American people, but the United States as a whole.

It's your essay so you should write it yourself, but these are some ideas for you to formulate some ideas while you write.

How has industrial revolution changed the life of past methods of providing goods?
Changed the course of world wide exports?
Intervening with foreign nations?
Connection to the Civil War?
How has the economy changed from mostly agriculture based to manufactures?
Later the increase of labor force and immigrants?

These are only a couple of questions. There are tons of information about the Industrial Revolution. Have fun writing :P
