I have to write a speech about myself that must be 2-3 minutes long and make it interesting. I thought this would be easy but im having trouble making it sound interesting and grab peoples attention. Can someone help...?
My name is Jaylyn Smith and I am 18 years old. I was born in Gulfport Mississippi and I am now staying in Bay St. Louis Mississippi. I enrolled in college as a dual enrollment so I do not graduate high school until May. Enrolling in college early is one of the best decisions I have ever made for me and my family. My family is very supportive and consist of one amazing mother and step father, a ten month old little brother and great grandparents. Most importantly I have a eight week old little boy, Christian, who means the world to me. He was born on December 5, 2010 and is my heart and soul. He is my motivation for going to college to become a Nurse Practioner. Right now things are hard and there are plenty of obstacles but once I become a Nurse Practioner they will be easier. I would like to work in a doctors office instead of a hospital because the working environment is calmer and I would have better hours so I could spend more time with Chistian. I love spending all my time spoiling Christian, with my family, and going to church. However, so far I have learned there is a lot more to do in a days time like cleaning, studying, homework, and working. I am just now getting well at managing my time. I want to be a very successful mother and student while providing a great life for my son just like my mother has done for me. She has always been there for me when I needed her and we have shared so many memories together. Things as simple as walking on the beach and playing ball in the yard as a kid has stuck with me. One of my favorite childhood memories was when my great grandpa was alive. I can remember always riding the tractor with him in fields, jumping on hay bales, getting chased by cows, and fishing. That’s what life was all about in six year old shoes. I want Christian to be able to experience the same thing plus more. As you can tell, my whole life revolves around my son and I would not have it any other way.
