iPad was restored and re-synched but there are missing apps.?

Additionally some apps are there but says to update in the appstore so that my current stats (Tap Ranch 2) will be available, but when I go to the app store, it says these missing apps (Google, Kindle, etc) and the Tap Ranch 2 app is "installed"! But they aren't there! Help! (AND THANKS!!!)
