iPhone 3 wont connect?

Today I got an old iPhone 3 and restored it, I updated to iOS 6 and restored it to the original settings, and now im trying to connect it to my home wifi, all it does is say it cant connect to the network, any ideas? Btw, It already has a phone plan (if that makes a difference .. )
