Iphone 3g issues, i really need help!!!?

When i press down on the top of my iphone 3g the screen freezes and gradually turns white. Then, when i press down in the top right hand corner of the screen it unfreezes, and sometimes it restarts. I dont know what to do and i dont know what the issue is... PLEASE HELP!!!
