I have a new digitizier screen for iphone 3gs and there was a little white sticker over ribbon 3 which I thought needed removed before fitting the new screen. When i attempted to remove the sticker the ribbon cable partially tore. Will this affect the iphone when the screen is installed? I don't want to remove the old cracked screen to be left with a non working screen (old screen probably will shatter when removing). Has anyone partially torn this ribbon cable before and if so did you get away with it!!! Not sure what the ribbon cable 3 does but I'm sure it will have lost some functionality. I have stuck it together again with tape but that probably won't work.
