iPhone 4 - Home button replacements?

I want to change the color of my iPhone 4's home button from black to white. I have a white home button ready to go, but I'm unsure about one thing... will I need to replace the ribbon cable as well, or can I safely remove the black home button from the ribbon cable, and re-use that ribbon cable?
 
DONT! That will void you warranty and if you screw up
You'll won't be able to get a fix.
