Iphone 4 problem ...?

I put my phone down, came back 5 minutes later to check it, and I found it wouldn't turn on. I pressed the power/home button for a good 30 seconds to no avail. I plugged it in, and the computer recognized it, so I updated the software and restored it. It still didn't turn on. I restored it again, still didn't turn on. And it's still off, but everytime I plug it into the computer, it makes a sound as if it's turned on. The screen is just black


I don't have insurance from verizon or apple care(I think)
This phone is 3 months old
I got it from asurion
 
If it's under a year old and you bought it new, it should still be covered by the manufacturer warranty.

EDIT: Take it back to the store with the receipt and tell them about your issue. If it works while plugged in, try backing up all your stuff first in case it needs to be wiped.
