IPhone 5 4G questions?

So, my iphone has 4g lte. But, I was sitting here & my cousins galaxy can get 4g, but I'm not getting it? So my iphone only supports 4g lte, but not the 4g he is getting?

Sorry if this is confusing. I'm just wondering if this is iPhones way of being stupid...
 
Do you have the same network provider? If not then that could be the reason. Also check if LTE is on in the settings.
