iphone or android based phone?

I need a phone that I plan to use for the next 4 years.

I am power user and I would like to have a 360 degree digital life style experience from my phone.
I like to customize my gadgets and squeeze the maximum juice out of it.

The thing is android based phones are somewhat half baked where as iphone is restrictive.

What do you suggest? keeping in mind iphone 4 issues.

The Android phones are not "half-baked." I've owned two Android phones (the G1 and now the nexus One) and I've modded the crap out of both of them. My phones perform a lot better after I mod them than with the stock systems. That's the point of mods.

I don't know where you got that "half-baked" idea, but you couldn't be more wrong.
