i was wondering would it be possible to use an orange contract sim in an unlocked iphone and how would i unlock an iphone? Thanks

Ya it possible...If your mobile unlocked means you can use orange network if your mobile not unlocked means you can't use other network so that you want to unlock your mobile..There is many way to unlock your mobile by using box,software,code..
I suggest you code is best way to unlock your mobile...If you need unlock code means you can get the unlock code here theunlockspot.com to your mobile Panasonic CD55 or otherwise contact the service provider...
