iPhone Won't Open Text Message Application. Help?

That's just it. My text message app won't open at all. It just goes to a white screen for a few seconds and then back to my home screen. I have a new text message, and I figured out that this new text is the reason why I can't open my app. It's a corrupted text. My question is, is there any way I can fix this issue without doing a complete restore to factory settings? I've already tried all the simple solutions.


I have an iPhone 4.
