Last time I got a blood test I was told my iron levelos were 7. Apparently its amazing that I'm still functioning. I've been given iron tablets but they do nothing but make me feel constantly sick (I have acid reflux syndrome and it seems to make me feel horrible.) I have always had low iron, and have always been short of breath, constantly dizzy and prone to fainting. Lately I have been watching what I've been eating and have been concious of eating foods with high iron, but in the past few weeks have been quite slack. Now my period is late and my fainting is worse than ever. Mainly, I want to know if periods stopping or becoming irregular is common in people with low iron and what are long term effects of having constant low iron.
