Is 6mbps Comcast internet good for Online on PS3s?

Well, I'm getting a PS3 And I'm definitely gonna be online 24/7 and my dad recently got comcast 3 thingy phone tv internet deal and he got the 6MBPS Internet. I myself, know alot about technology but have no idea what the fuck That kinda stuff means so someone whos smart with this stuff, please help. Like i wanna know if it would be fast, or laggy, or something

I play mine on 1.5 Mbps and it works fine.
