is a 2002 hyundai santa fe a good suv?

i just bought a 2002 hyundai santa fe for 4500, it has 109,000 miles. i needed to buy a small suv for cargo room and something to go up the mountain with and this is all i could find for an affordable price. it has the 5 speed 4 cylinder engine, and runs really strong. i just want to know if it will last me a while, i always take care of my cars but are these cars reliable? only serious answers plz. and thanks!
i have heard that hyundai vehicles were terrible back when they first came out, but after the year 2000 they have greatly improved and are now right up there with honda and toyota.
 
Generally, no. Hyundai and Kia improved greatly after 2007 but their earlier vehicles do not have a very good reputation. You should have purchased a Honda CRV. That being said, do the maintenance and hope for the best.
