Is a Chevy Straight 6 interchangable with a Chevy V8?

I have two chevy c10 trucks one with a chevy 305 v8 small block and another with a chevy straight six. The one with the v8 is wrecked so i want to take the motor out and put it in the one with the L6. Other than the exhuast what else would I have to swap to make the setup work? Thanks

You will definitely need to swap the motor mounts. Chevy used the same transmission bellhousing for v8 and most 6-cyl. from 1955-1999 (the exception is the 2.8 engine, it has different bolt holes). If your engines are carbureted rather than fuel injected, it should be straightforward. I'd guess the radiator hoses will be different, that's all I can think of.
