Is a satellite ISP connection something anyone would recommend?

I don't know anyone with this service, and I need some advice about its effectiveness.

I have it. Would i recommend it? No. I wouldn't. Mine won't work when the weather is bad and truthfully it isn't very fast, but thats what happens to me. Anyone else?

It would have to be avaible in your area in order to have it.

From most I have talked to you should only get it if you can't get dsl or cable.
