I would love to buy top quality dog food (Blue Buffalo, Orijen, Taste of the Wild, etc) for my pup but at 125 the boy eats A LOT! So some times I have to buy a more affordable bulk brand (Kirklands, Diamond) and mix it in w/a smaller bag of high quality dog food. Now I'm into mixing in my own 'suppliment' in with his dog food by making home made chicken broth from the carcass of a roasted chicken we have for dinner and cooking parboilded or brown rice in it and then adding it to his dog food. Is this enough to add to protein, high quality fat and carbs significantly?
