For anyone out of the loop, this is the unemployed and unmarried woman who already had six children under the age of 8 through fertility treatments, and just had octuplets with the assistance of additional fertility treatments. She is already on food stamps and other assistance. She can't pay for her hospital bills, and she has a web site asking for donations to raise her children. Even her own mother has gone public in her rejection of Suleman's behavior.
I can't believe some idiot doctor thought that this woman needed fertility treatment. I understand the doctor is now being investigated about his actions. I think the doctor is the one who should be held financially responsible.
I understand the woman is discussing the possibility of a television show. Does anyone else out there see this for the insanity that it is? If she is successful, and she actually makes money out of this situation, we are opening a Pandora's Box for all the nut jobs in the world to breed children without regard for their welfare. I hope that if such a program is scheduled, that people will not watch. If it gets high ratings, it would be like a seal of approval.
This is a scary world we are living in, with businesses closing, people losing jobs and homes, our government in a financial crisis, jobs going overseas by the thousands, and American assets being bought up by other countries in unparalleled numbers. How will we ever recover if our assets are caught up in supporting such irresponsibility?
Anyone intent on destroying our culture needn't do a thing; I fear we are doing it to ourselves.
