I grew up with friends that speak up if they are annoyed, and then the problem gets sorted, rather than going behind someones back or letting grudges build up. But since i've been at uni my friends have said they never argue with their friends back at home and i've gotten angry a couple of times (over stuff like someone shouting slag at me and my friend not sticking up for me and semi-defending the girl) and i can't help but feel that people here think im a bitch and a drama queen.
It's not that at all, i really thought my life long friends would come from uni but my best friends here have long-term friendship groups at home and it's becoming clear i will only ever really be a uni friend. I'm the first person to apologise if i upset someone but i feel like i'm a bad person for speaking up when i'm angry and being honest.
Is this true or have i just found friends with completely different values?
