Is boxing losing fans to the Ufc?

That's not the only fight in Boxing and if your judging the success of the entire sport on one fight then your either ignorant or a complete moron. Boxing has had plenty of good fights over the last few months its just a matter of casual fans not getting the opportunity to see them.

Of course not. It wasn't the greatest fight last weekend, but it wasn't the worst fight either. Boxing fans aren't going to say "forget this, I want to watch UFC instead" because of one fight. They are two different sports, with two separate fan bases. I like and watch both sports (though I'm more of a Boxing fan). People who are strictly Boxing fans aren't going to like the aspect of a ground game in MMA, and the stand up in MMA is embarassing and nowhere near as exciting compared to Boxing. Why would they switch over if there is nothing about MMA that interests them?

Big deal if people didn't like one fight, look at the Rampage/Rashad fight last year. It was suppose to be some huge, great fight and it turned out to be a snoozer with Rashad running scared the entire time. Yet, I didn't see anyone asking if the UFC will lose fans because of it. Both have their own fans, some of them (like me) watch both, but most of them stick to the sport they like, even if they have to watch a few bad fights. Not every Boxing and MMA fight can be Hagler-Hearns.
