Is buying products from China and complaining about the bad US economy hypocritical?

Just saw on CNN the article about China the new superpower which is planing to double the import to the USA in the next 5 years. And the next article was about how bad our US government is bc it does not create jobs...tell me your opinion please. People give me thumbs down bc I judge them for buying "made in china" instead of "made in usa". Why is it wrong to bring it to attention? www.madeinusa.com
@come and take it>> that is your choice. Everything is available made in usa. the consumer needs to be more demanding. I ask everywhere where i am shopping for products made in usa and i request these. and...sadly i am not shopping anymore at my favorite store Tarjet.
@space ne...>well, than the government should invest in new updated factories instead of spending all the taxes for the military.
@windy>>well, I guess it is better to see it late and actually do something than being an idiot who sees things going down and ignoring it. Keep ignoring facts :) that's the way to go YAY!
@sandplan> no, it would actually motivate US american companies to produce here in the States than somewhere where human rights are a big joke.

Yes granted some thing are not made here in the USA much.

But I do not buy anything not a necessity that is not made in the USA.

The US doesn't have enough factories, or resources to supply its own demand. The factories that are here are much older than the ones in China, so products would be of lower quality, and at higher costs.

It is if you don't consider other choices.

What can you really buy that isn't made in China or Mexico or Indonesia or Taiwan, or the Philippines these days?

I think the only thing I own in my entire home that is 100% made in the USA are my firearms and some of them are over 50 years old.

Yes it is. And if people would stop watching CNN and find better sources of news they would have known this years ago. Sadly, many liberals still do not believe it. This site is for 2 types; 1) idiots who have no clue what is going on and 2) people here for laughs. If you concerned about what people here think about you, you are in the wrong place.

Added note: you are in the wrong place. Watch your BP.

Well that's the riddle. Of course times were not necessarily better when folks all had jobs, because we just learned not to buy as much. Hell, my grandparents had the same furniture for the last 50 years.

How can China be the new Superpower? They don't even have one Aircraft carrier yet. USA out does China in every piece of military hardware. In numbers and in technology. One advanced Ohio class sub could destroy that whole country!
If they ever want to try and overpower the USA. That would be the last thing China ever did!
But I agree with you. I hate "made in China" goods. But we have little choice for most products. But Made in USA tools are far superior to that junk China makes. Maybe some day China will learn Metalurgy and produce some quality steel. Fat Chance!

The second China doesn't need the US anymore to survive, is the day this country falls.

China will dump all it's false AAA US securities and get to actually prospering.

Whoa chinese dude,..take a chill pill bro.. Our poor people will be buying your crap at the dollar store for years to come bro.

Patriotism evaporates at the checkout desk. I'll bet half your flags are Made in China!

We can't all make 10 cent dolls and toys. If America wants to work, it has to do things that it can compete in. High Tech it can compete in. Also, service things. Most of Americans today work in Service as opposed to manufacturing.
