is common law marriage binding in texas?

thank you all for your replys. they all give me hope for a better future. i am seeking paternity. and iam willing to leave her everything house,car etc;etc just to have standard visitation. i just wish there was someone who could see fathers trying to do the right thing and help us just as they help the woman when the father is not doing his part.

Got a marriage license with a woman five yrs ago. never got married. she remarried 2 yrs later. and a year later
i got married in a different state to my childs mother. it didnt last. we r going thru a divorce but now she say the child is not mine and we were never married because this other woman carried my last name. is this possible? going thru divorce and she says marriage is anulled because of previous marriage license. she says by texas law i am legally common law married. am wanting to see my daughter and am not running away from my responsibilities.it would make it easier on me but this is a no brainer, she is my child and i cant just abandon her. i am not on her birth certificate and this is my problem. also finances are limited and attorneys want 7500 or more. pls anyhelp would do. desperate in texas
